With nearly two decades of experience at the bench, she understands the mindset of scientists and Quality professionals alike. Deborah has performed radioimmunoassays, enzyme inhibition assays, and conducted regulated bioanalysis using HPLC-UV, LC-MS/MS and ELISA. Her transition into Quality Assurance has been enhanced by her depth of understanding from the laboratory. Deborah has been responsible as a lead auditor in the qualification of more than a dozen laboratories, both Tox and Bioanalytical, over her career, and she is able to distinguish between critical, major, minor and non-relevant issues.
Deborah has analyzed both large and small molecules while in the lab. As such, she is familiar with industry-standard software such as Watson, Analyst, SoftMax Pro, and several ELN platforms. As a former QA Manager, she reviewed software and equipment validation documents and had been involved in QMS evaluations. She has hosted unannounced regulatory inspections (General GLP and Directed for clinic studies), as well as numerous client audits.
Deborah was responsible for conducting and coordinating the development of GLP training (annual refresher and new hire training), Inspection Readiness Training and ensuring the training and development of her direct reports.
